Testing Coordinator, Disability Support Services, University of Wyoming
JOB PURPOSE:
This position coordinates the implementation and administration of exams given through the DSS Testing Center. This position manages the test scheduling process, coordinates exam materials, provides and assists with training and dissemination of information to Testing Center personnel, and coordinates efforts to improve and refine usage of the Testing Center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates all center activities and functions related to student scheduling, including the development, production, and distribution of all pertinent documentation and communications.
- Maintains a professional testing area effective to the testing environment; assures appropriate implementation and monitoring of all exams; establishes a high degree of student rapport; makes recommendations to supervisor on improvements in processes and policies.
- Assures the information about software (testing, online lab exercises, etc.) and other course procedures are communicated and understood by providing workshops for new instructors, and, in coordination with computer support personnel, proctors, and other programs for Testing Center staff and users of the Testing Center.
- Review student and exam information to implement exams that align with course exam parameters. Maintains a database of student and exam information for reporting of services rendered, trends, and center needs, and to assist in department assessment and evaluation.
- Developing and implementing training and education opportunities for students, staff, and faculty related to testing processes, policies, and exam management.
- Coordinates and communicates with DSS Staff, students, and faculty to accommodate the scheduling of students requiring accommodations in the Testing Center.

This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate’s degree
Experience: 2 years work-related experience
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- Skills and abilities to manage computerized testing systems, processes, and facilities, to include hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated supervisory skills and teaching experience.
- Ability to work effectively with varied populations and a wide range of constituencies, fostering a cooperative work environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with regard to information processed, stored, or accessed by systems.
