Reporters Do you have a passion for community journalism?
The Norfolk Daily has two immediate, full-time newsroom openings for journalists wishing to pursue community journalism as part of a family-owned news organization. Here’s more about the two openings:
City Government Reporter: We are looking for a reporter whose job would entail keeping government accountable and monitoring city happenings, including investigative stories, events and human interest stories within the field of city government.
Community Reporter: With Norfolk being the hub of Northeast Nebraska, there’s always something happening. We are looking for a reporter to help cover community events, such as the Great American Comedy Festival, Fourth of July fireworks show, Christian Cross Festival and more.
Qualifications: Applicants should have a degree in journalism or demonstrated experience with newspaper or other media outlets. In addition to reporting and writing, there are also opportunities for editing and page design.
The Daily News The Daily News is a family-owned news organization with a six-day-a-week newspaper and a comprehensive online, mobile and social media presence. Our coverage area spans 24 counties in Northeast and North Central Nebraska.
