Description
The Onsite COVID Testing Nurse/Paramedic positions consists of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Paramedics who conduct COVID-19 PCR tests in a safe manner on clients at our rapid test sites. Candidate must be able to work quickly and safely, providing a positive experience for customers while producing a good sample for testing. Swabber may occasionally be asked to intake patient questions, assist with result communication, and respond as necessary. Swabber may occasionally assist with the sample delivery to a local lab as well. Swabbers are provided with and expected to wear the proper PPE. Effective, collaborative communication is a must. Swabbers will be supported by a large team and will work under the guidance of the Site Manager. Preference given to local residents of the greater Dallas/Ft. Worth area - appropriate licensing required.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to your first day of employment is required, unless a medical or religious accommodation is needed. If two rounds of vaccination are required and only one has been received on your first day of employment, your continued employment by CTEH is contingent upon receipt of the second dose when due

Paramedic
Job Type: Part-time/temporary
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00/hour
ACTIVITIES/TASKS/SCOPE OF WORK
- Conduct COVID-19 PCR swabs on patients;
- Ensure all information is properly documented with accurate patient information;
- Provide top care during interaction and provide advice as able and/or redirect to the CDC site;
- Perform routine procedures and fill in patients charts as applicable;
- Maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.);
- Process tests in a timely, safe, and accurate manner and coordinate work with runner and lab assistant to ensure test is delivered for processing;
- Provide instant medical care in emergencies;
- Assist fellow team members as needed;
- May be asked to supervise and support other members of the team;
- Foster a supportive and compassionate environment in high-stress testing environment;
- Comply with all patient privacy and information protection requirements;
NOTE: Testing is conducted at vehicle; RN/LPN/Paramedic must be able to work in varying climates and communicate effectively with patients in such settings.
Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- LPN - Completion of state-approved, fully accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) training program.
- RN - Bachelor’s degree (required) in a nursing or health-related field with Registered Nurse certification (required)
- Paramedic - EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, or Paramedic (with Associate Degree, preferred) and evidence of successfully passing the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam as required by state of licensing
- 1+ year of experience as a Registered Nurse, LPN, or Paramedic
- Licensed in the state of Texas, or have a multi-state license under the requirements of the NLC (Nursing Licensure Compact) - copy of credentials required
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Knowledge of COVID-19 virus, testing methods, and care
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- State-issued license/certification at appropriate training level
- Responsible for maintaining individual certifications as required by job function or by law and provide verification and recertification upon request
- Completion of job-specific OSHA training and requirements
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination, etc.) and commitment to follow them at all times
