Blasch Precision Ceramics, Inc., produces and markets net shape ceramic and refractory components to a wide variety of industrial markets worldwide. These industries include specialty alloys, non-ferrous metals, chemical/petrochemical processing, power generation, industrial process heating and mining.
The patented Blasch Process is a unique, proprietary forming method developed to produce net shape and near net shape ceramic parts exhibiting very attractive physical properties. Many of the products produced by Blasch have complex shapes that could not be produced with other existing ceramic technology. As a result, several patents exist covering Blasch’s unique processes and technology.
Position Overview
The Assistant Operations Supervisor oversees all warehouse activities, ensures efficient processes, and maximizes warehouse productivity. The Assistant Operations Supervisor’s responsibilities include coordinating logistical processes, ensuring the quality of goods, and preparing relevant documentation.
To be successful as an Assistant Operations Supervisor you should be experienced in optimizing warehousing processes, have knowledge or the ability to rapidly learn how to inspect and receive technical product, and work well in small groups or independently. An outstanding Assistant Operations Supervisor should be dependable and have excellent organizational, administrative and time management skills.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinating, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity.
- Daily correspondence with customers, vendors and internal staff.
- Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Inspecting and packaging incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
- Checking orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
- Maintaining records, including a receiving and shipping log, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation.
- Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds.
- Coordinating maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Communicating and coordinating with other departments and customers.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- All other tasks as assigned by the manager.

Supervisor Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, generally 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, with occasional Saturday/Sunday hours.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs. on a repeated and regular basis.
- Previous experience as a warehouse technician or a similar position.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Degree in business, management, logistics or a related field preferred.
